Nickel sulfate, hexahydrate for sale, CAS 10101-97-1
Nickel sulfate has three kinds: anhydrous, six water and seven water. Most of the commodities are six water substances, and there are two variants of the alpha type and the beta type. The former is blue tetragonal crystal, while the latter is green monoclinic crystal. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and methanol, its aqueous solution is acidic, slightly soluble in acids and ammonia water, toxic. It is mainly used in electroplating industry. It is the main nickel salt of electroplated nickel and chemical nickel. It is also the source of metal nickel ions. It can dissociate nickel ions and sulfate ions during electroplating.

Property of Nickel sulfate (CAS 10101-97-1)
The alpha type containing 6 molecules of crystalline water is blue-green tetragonal crystal, which is transformed into beta green transparent crystal at 53℃. It is stable at 40℃ and becomes opaque blue crystal at room temperature. Nickel sulfate seven hydrate is emerald green crystal. There is a sweet astringency. It is slightly weathered. Nickel sulfate has three kinds: anhydrous, six water and seven water. Nickel sulfate, hexahydrate is the main compound. The anhydrous crystal is yellow green, with a relative density of 3.68.
Dissolved in water, insoluble in ethanol and ether. 31.5℃-53.3℃ crystallization is six water nickel sulfate, six water nickel sulfate is blue or emerald green fine crystal, relative density is 2.07. It dissolves in water, and the water solution is acidic. Soluble in concentrated ammonia water ( generating nickel ammonia ions), but in organic solvents, the solubility is very small (the common disease of sulphate, the lattice energy is too large). All the crystal water is lost at 280℃, and decomposed at 840℃, releasing three sulphur oxide, and becomes into nickel oxide.
Nickel sulfate uses, CAS 10101-97-1
Nickel sulfate is mainly used in electroplating industry. Nickel sulfate is the main nickel salt of electroplated nickel and chemical nickel. It is also the source of nickel ions. Nickel sulfate can dissociate nickel ion and sulfate ion in the process of electroplating.
- In the production of hardening oil, nickel sulfate is the catalyst for hydrogenation of oils and fats.
- In the medical industry, nickel sulfate is used as catalyst for the production of vitamin C.
- In the inorganic industry, nickel sulfate is the main raw material for producing other nickel salts, such as ammonium sulfate, nickel oxide and nickel carbonate.
- In the printing and dyeing industry, nickel sulfate is used to produce phthalocyanine blue complexing agent, used as a coal dyeing agent for reducing dyes.
- In addition, it can also be used in the production of nickel cadmium batteries, etc.
